Las Vegas Soaring Club Website

Hello fellow club members, my name is Robert. I would like to express my gratitude to the members I have met thus far as they have all been very hospitable and friendly. I am originally from Apple Valley California, but I have lived in Las Vegas for about seven years now. My old flying field in California was "Rabbit Dry lake" between Apple Valley and Lucerne Valley. I have flown R/C aircraft for about twenty years. For years my primary interest has been Helicopters. I still love flying them but I would like to explore slope and thermal soaring. I don’t consider myself a great pilot but I do ok. I have flown at different spots close to my home, but I really miss the camaraderie with other modelers and pilots. In my personal life I have practiced as an LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) for about 14 years. Currently I work in the Trauma Surgery and Day Surgery Departments at one of the local hospitals. I am engaged, with two children and three step children. I'm looking forward to having fun and making lots of friends. Robert
