Another
modeling 'Tip'. I always use sticky backed numbers to label all of the control
surfaces and the servo wires on my airplanes.
If the elevator servo is plugged into channel #2 then the elevator gets labeled
#2, etc. (Photo 1). My right ailerons are always #1 and the right flaps are
always #5 (Photo 2). These numbers correspond to the transmitter and receiver
channels for adjustment purposes. I also number all wiring connections to make
assembling the plane at the field so much easier (Photo 3 and Photo 4).
I found these sheets of numbers at an electrical wiring supply store about 15
years ago - a lifetime supply as there are over 200 numbers per sheet.
Masking tape and a ball point pen will also work for making 'sticky' numbers.
Once you number your plane you'll wonder why you didn't do it sooner.
